Happy New Year
A very good morning and a very happy New Year to you!
Today is 1st January, the year 2022, and it is Saturday morning, this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day!
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."1 Corinthians 2:9
And then 2 Corinthians 5:7... We are going to walk by faith and not by sight this year!
Luke 22:32, Jesus says to us in this New Year, He says: “I am praying for you, that your faith should not fail.” Jesus is as a standing guarantee for us in 2022 - He is backing us all the way.
Now remember, we always say if you aim at nothing then you are sure to hit it. I hope you have got something that you are aiming at this year.
Proverbs 29:18:
Where there is no vision, the people perish.
We really need to aim and at a vision that we ask God to give us. Habakkuk 2:2-3:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; (2022!)
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”
Remember, if your vision doesn’t scare you, it is not big enough. I am firmly believing for the greatest revival that this world has ever seen, that is about to explode on this earth. Can you imagine families praying together, Bibles being read in schools, universities, government institutions and parliament. Companies dedicated to sowing finances into God’s Kingdom, Widows and orphans being taken care of, Bible translators being supported so that the word of God can be available in every language on earth? This is the vision for 2022 - God is more than able!
I want to close with a quotation from John Wesley. I think it is so beautiful, this is how it goes:
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, and all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
