Ambassadors

I greet you in Jesus’ precious Name. It is Saturday, the 25th of March, 2023. This is your friend, Angus Buchan with a thought for today.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.”
Matthew 5:9

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us."
2 Corinthians 5:20

Wow, that’s quite something. You see we cannot do our own thing when we put our hands up for the Lord. We have got to represent Jesus correctly. A good ambassador represents his country properly. It’s no longer about our personal opinions, no, not at all, it’s all about God’s opinion on the matter. We have to use our credentials as ambassadors for Jesus. What are they? It is definitely the Word of God, the Bible. We say we have our own rights, but we haven’t, you’ve got no rights, my dear friend. When you gave your life to Christ you surrendered all your personal opinions, and now you follow the Word of God. When we become God’s representatives here on earth, we have surrendered our personal rights. That’s why we have got to be bold, and very courageous, we’ve even got to be prepared to be unpopular if necessary.

When asked about sex before marriage, I’m talking particularly to young people now, the answer is very clear. Anyone that has sex before marriage is a fornicator. We have to wait for our marriage night before we have sex with our loved one. When asked about being unevenly yoked in marriage or business, we have to be forthright and say that darkness has nothing to do with light, and oil does not mix with water, therefore a Christian should not get married to an unbeliever because you are asking for trouble. A good ambassador will say that. What about the abortion question? We can go on and on, “thou shalt not commit murder”, there can be no grey area in our lives when we are representing the King of kings because we are Jesus’ spokesmen here on earth.

Remember, people don’t have to like us, but they must respect us.

Jesus bless you as you stand tall for the King today.
God bless you and goodbye.
