Bank on it

I greet you in Jesus' precious name, it is Monday morning the 6th of March 2023, and this is your friend Angus Buchan with a thought for today. 2 Corinthians 1:20:

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."

You and I can bank on the word of God. The promises of God are "yea and amen" Just like that bank note when you go to the shop to buy something - it's just a piece of paper in it- but on that piece of paper is printed the National Bank of that particular country and it backs up the exact value that is printed on that note. And so it is with the word of God, the Bible. Every promise made by God which, is printed in the Holy Bible, you can trust, you can bank on it and you can believe it. if you really take this to your heart and you really believe it, we will become extremely rich folk... all the cattle on a thousand Hills, all the silver and gold and even the hills themselves, belong to our God and if we, you and I as children they belong to us as well. I don't think we realised the riches that we have through Jesus Christ, who died for us on the cross of Calvary. Now today, go out and attempt great things for God and expect great things from our God because you have the guarantee.

You know the man that said that, was William Carey. He was an Englishman, he was a cobbler by trade, not even a shoemaker. He couldn't make shoes, he could only repair them. By Faith, using the promises of God he went to India to take the gospel of Jesus Christ. That man, who was semi-literate, learnt the most difficult languages in the world, he then translated the Bible - all the promises of God - into the local languages of the Indian folk and to this very day, they are reading the Word of God.

I want to say to you today, nothing is too hard for God. He's giving you all the authority, He has given you the guarantee of everything you do in His name. Now many of us are walking around like paupers, we've got nothing - because we do not believe in the value of the promises of God. It's like walking into a shop with a pocket full of money and then saying you can't afford to buy anything and walking out again. Take the money, take the promises of God and use them! You will be surprised what you can buy with the promises of God. Do it in a responsible way, do it to glorify His name and you will never be the same again.

Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.
