Faith Begets Faith

I greet you in Jesus' precious Name. It is Saturday morning, the 28th of January, 2023, and this is your friend Angus Buchan with a thought for today.

2 Corinthians 5:7, the Word says:

"For we walk by Faith, not by sight".

Then we go just down a bit further to verse 9:

"Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him".

You see you can't please the Lord without faith.

"Without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him".
Hebrews 11:6

If ever we needed more faith! I think you'll agree with me, we need it in these days in which we are living. You know, faith is contagious. Faith begets faith. So you need to be spending time with people who have got faith. Remember eagles do not fly around with flocks of turkeys. No! Eagles spend time with the Lord in the high places. Faith begets faith. Augustine said:

"Faith is to believe what you cannot see, but the reward of that faith is to see what you believe".

I've just come off a radio program and I was sharing a story with them. They wanted me to speak about a supernatural sighting and I said, I remember like yesterday the night when my wife and small children were in our little wattle and daub house and there was a huge storm and we had a knocking on the window. There were some Zulu ladies outside who were screaming and shouting that one of their friends had been struck down by lightning and was dead, that's what they told me. We jumped into the pickup and shot up there. I walked into that traditional hut. It was very smokey, I couldn't see too clearly and there was a body lying there with blankets covering it. They said there she is. I said to bring the body to the pickup and we will take it to the mortuary. They said no, no, no, you've been telling us and preaching for weeks in the fields every day that Jesus is a Miracle Worker. We want you to pray that Jesus will raise this woman. Well I was put on the spot, wasn't I? But I will never forget it. I walked up, I laid my hands up on that body and I prayed, please Lord, raise her up so that these people can know that You are a miracle-working God. Nothing happened. I stood back, again I didn't know what to do. The Holy Spirit impressed upon me, do it again. I went and I prayed a second time. Then I felt the Lord say, take her by the wrists and pick her up to her feet, I was a young man then, I was a strong man. I picked that woman right off the ground, I stood her up and I felt the Lord say let her go. I said she's maybe going to fall..."Let her go!" I let her go and she remained standing. I want to tell you those women have never ever forgotten that miracle. We've got to do it by faith.

Have a wonderful Saturday and remember Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Goodbye.
