Faithful

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 11th of November 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“But You are the same, And Your years will have no end.”

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

The Lord never changes! He is steadfast, just like the Rock of Gibraltar. That is wonderful news, isn’t it? Especially when everything else is changing daily in the world. The sun still comes up every morning and the moon faithfully every evening. Why? Well, because the Faithful One made them both. Maybe you are struggling with a situation where someone you have trusted has let you down and has been unfaithful, and you don’t know where to turn. Well, I can tell you right now from experience, Jesus is trustworthy and He is absolutely dependable.  

Do you remember that old movie that was made years ago? It was about a man called Forest Gump. Forest Gump was a simple-minded man but he had achieved the most amazing feats in the world. He was a Vietnam war hero. He became a multi-million dollar businessman when he invested in the Big Apple. He married the wife of his youth but she died very early and all he had left in this world was a little son and they lived together on the farm. Every morning he used to put that little boy on the yellow school bus that stopped outside the farm gate and promised his little boy (makes me want to cry) that he would be waiting for him right there when the bus came back in the afternoon. Remember in the movie, he just simply sat on that bench and waited for him.  

I want to tell you today that Jesus is waiting for you and He is waiting for me, and you can bet your life on that!
