Be Still
I greet you in Jesus' precious name, it is Sunday morning the 19th of March 2023, and this is your friend Angus Buchan with a thought for today.
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27
What is peace? Peace is freedom from disturbance. Peace is to be calm, restful and still. Psalm 46:10:
"Be still and know that I am God."
Another word for Peace is shalom - that is the term that Jesus would use when he came into a home, he would say "Shalom", which is the Hebrew word for peace. It is the absence of conflict, it is the absence of turmoil. Now, folks, we live in a very busy, hurried world at the moment, don't we? Even though we might be in the very midst of persecution and even tribulation from the world, we still have peace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus has not abandoned you my dear friend. He has not left you - He has given us His Holy Spirit to comfort us. We must not yield to fear but we must be courageous you know... I'm sitting, sending this message out to you and it's still dark outside. I'm sitting quietly and I'm praying for you and I'm thinking of you. Even the birds haven't started singing yet, it's still dark outside but there is peace in this place. You see peace is not necessarily your circumstances, peace is not your environment. Peace is in your heart and that's why I want to say to you today - Be still and know that He is God.
Be still and know that I am God,
be still and know that I am God,
be still and know that I am God.
I am the lord that healeth thee,
I am the lord that healeth thee,
I am the lord that healeth thee...
Have a peaceful, quiet Sunday today. We love you very much
Jesus bless you and goodbye.
