Faith Over Fear
I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Monday morning, the 20th of March, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.
”But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.”
Numbers 14:24
Now remember, Caleb was over 80 years old and Joshua said to Caleb, “Because you have done so well, you can choose any part of the Promised Land, the Land of Milk and Honey, any part you want to stay in.” What did Caleb say - “I want the safe place”? Oh no! No, no, no - he didn’t say that. He said, “Give me the big mountains where the big giants live.” What a man of faith!
“The just (the righteous) shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:17
I want to say to you today, you have a choice. You can believe the lies of the devil or you can believe the promises of God. It is entirely up to you. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Jesus says,
“I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Folks, the opposite of fear is faith. We need faith today like never before. I would rather be in a small little rowing boat with Jesus at the helm, going around Cape Horn, in South America, the most dangerous ocean in the world, with six-metre waves around that rowing boat - I would rather be there with Jesus than to be on one of these luxury liners on a calm lake without any waves, without Him. For me, absolute peace and security is to be in the presence of God. Now, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
So today, spend time in the word of God and listen to the promises of God. He says, “I will never leave you.” He says, “I will never forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) Do not propagate the lies of satan. Rather, speak of the love and the power of God that comes through the Bible.
Have a blessed day and remember, no one can harm you unless God allows it, and He is not about to do that.
Have a blessed day.
Jesus bless you and goodbye.
