Get Up Again

I greet you in Jesus precious name! It is Saturday morning, its the 15th of July, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. 

We start in the Book of Job 5:19: 

“He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.”  

“For a righteous man may fall seven times  
And rise again,…”  
Proverbs 24:16

…what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.”
2 Timothy 3:11-12

Because we are followers of Jesus Christ, that does not exempt us from troubles or persecution. Look at Farmer Job; he was the most righteous and godly man in the Middle East, yet he suffered very badly because he kept getting up when he was knocked down. God restored him at the end of his life and gave him back double of everything that he lost. Always follow a man who walks with a limp. “Why?” you might ask, because that man has been knocked down so many times in his life and yet he still just keeps on getting up, he hasn’t given up and the powers of darkness have not defeated him. 

I believe when we meet Jesus, we shall identify Him from the nail-scarred hands and nail-scarred feet that He has got, but remember Jesus did not give up when the devil knocked him down. Oh no, He is our very own champion of the world. So, do not wonder why these things are happening the way they are now. They happened to the saints who went before us,

So today, my dear friend, get up, dust yourself off and get back into the fight, for the victory will eventually be ours. You see, a champion is not the one who gives the punch, no, no, no! A champion boxer is the one who takes the punch and keeps on getting up again.
