God Of The Impossible

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Friday morning, the 17th of March, 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.”
Isaiah 64:4

What a beautiful scripture!

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9

Why do you and I continue to limit our beloved Jesus? Has He given us any reason to doubt Him at all? Of course not, every single thing that He has promised, He has fulfilled. Think about it. Look at your own life. Today, let's start to really trust Him. We say glibly that He is the God of the impossible and yet we do not give our Lord Jesus a chance to move in our lives. God says in Genesis 18:14:

“Is any thing too hard for the Lord?”

Remember the story of Abraham and Sarah? Sarah actually laughed at the promise of God. She went behind the tent, she was over 90 years old. God said to Abraham, “I am going to give you a son through Sarah”, and she laughed. “Impossible!” Haven’t we also done that? Let’s start being honest with ourselves now. Let’s repent and start following the promises of God over our lives.

Listen to this beautiful little poem that I found:

Follow me and I will make you,
Make you speak My words with power,
Make you vessels of My mercy,
Make you helpful every hour.

Follow me, and I will make you,
Make you what you cannot be,
Make you loving, trustful, godly,
Make you even just like Me.

Isn’t that beautiful? How about this one?:

Make your petition deep, oh heart of mine,
Your God can do much more than you can ask,
Launch out on the Divine, draw from His love-filled store,
Trust Him with everything, begin today, and find the joy that comes
When Jesus has His way.

Jesus bless you and goodbye.
