He's Got You

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 29th of October 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.”
Psalms 94:18

Another translation says, 

“The minute I said, “I am slipping, I am falling, your love God, took hold and held me fast.”

Another translation says, 

“When I screamed out, “Lord, I am doomed!”, your fiery love was stirred and You raced to my rescue.”  

The Lord is always standing by. It has always fascinated me when a mother, standing in a toddler’s playground talking to all the other moms, and all the little children are playing together in the playground on the swings and the slides, making a huge noise, laughing, shouting, screaming together, but when that mother’s little child shouts out, “Help me, mom! I am slipping!” she hears that little voice above all the other noise, and she comes running to help her little baby. That’s exactly how the Lord Jesus feels about us today. He says in Jeremiah 33:3:

“Call unto Me and I will answer you”, 

Do you know the fireman’s lift? What happens is, he takes a hold of you with his hand and you take a hold of his arm with your hand and then he pulls you up out of the fire. Sometimes you say, “I can’t anymore. I can’t hang on,” and you let go of his arm but he has his hand firmly on your arm and he will not let you slip. That is exactly how it is with Jesus today. So when you say, “Lord, I am slipping, my foot is slipping!” The Lord says, “Don’t worry, I have got you. I have got you, just call out to me.”  

“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:6

Remember, if Christ is for you, you have the victory. Go out today and be assured of one thing - that when everybody else leaves you, He will never leave you and He will never forsake you!
