Trust Me
I want to ask you this Sunday morning - are you feeling lonely? Do you feel that maybe nobody cares about you? Are you crying out this morning to the Lord... Where are you, Lord? Maybe you are like Peter and the disciples who were in the boat on the Lake of Galilee when the storm arose.
“Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying,“Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Matthew 8:25
My wife and I have gone camping and a cold front has unexpectedly come over South Africa, with wind, rain, snow and frost. The young lady at the campsite office told me that the temperature plummeted down to minus five degrees during the night... and I was wondering why we were feeling so cold! Early this morning I got up, while it was still dark, to make a cup of hot tea for Jill. I walked outside in two balaclavas, two pairs of tracksuit bottoms, two jackets... in the early morning darkness I heard the sound of a little small bird, singing his heart out. Speaking to Jesus, I said, “Lord, how does that little sparrow keep so happy or even alive through this treacherous weather?”
And I felt the Lord Jesus say: “I look after him Angus, and I will look after you too!” And that is what the Lord is saying to every one of us this morning: "Just trust Me!"
Have a blessed Sunday and remember, He will never leave you. He will never forsake you! Hebrews 13:5.
God bless you and have a restful Sunday.
