Make Him Known

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Saturday morning, it is the 19th of November, 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“Make known His deeds among the peoples!”
Psalm 105:1

Talk of all His wondrous works!”
Psalm 105:2

I had the privilege of going to a very large agricultural company where there had been some serious problems. There were a lot of accidents that had taken place, people had lost their lives and the staff were very down and depressed. I was asked to come and encourage them and pray for them which I duly did. I am talking about over a thousand people, and when I arrived there my heart was filled with compassion for these poor folk. I had two scriptures for them. One was Jeremiah 33:3 - as we all know, Jesus’ telephone number -

“Call unto Me and I will answer you.”

The other one was 1 John 4:4:

“Greater is He who is within us than he who is in the world”.

I was able to sing with them, and being a Zulu speaker, I could speak to them in the language of the people. Always remember, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I was able to converse in Zulu, having worked with the Zulu people for over forty years. I love them dearly, they are passionate people and they sing like angels. So we started by singing and we sang praises to God. Then I reminded them that the Lord in us is greater than any evil in the world. We need to pray and ask Him to help us which we did. There was such a presence of the Lord in that place, I will never forget it as long as I live.

The management was there and with their blessing, they had put up a huge cross in their factory. We were able to bind the strongman and expose him as the liar, thief and bully that he is. We were able to uplift these precious folk with the word of God.

We have an obligation, you and I. We cannot keep this truth to ourselves. People need to know about a living God. We have got to talk of His wondrous works. We have got to make known His deeds among the peoples. After we had finished and prayed, and sang some more hymns, the people were dismissed and went to their respective work situations, rejoicing in the Lord.

Go out today and bring a word of encouragement to some person who is really hurting.

Jesus bless you and goodbye.
