Realise Your Vision

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 19th of October 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint.”
Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV)

I looked up a couple of other translations because this verse is very special to me:

“If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed.”
Proverbs 29:18 (The Message)

“When there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray but when you follow the revelation of the word, Heaven’s bliss fills your soul.”
Proverbs 29:18 (The Passion Translation)

In other words, if we aim at nothing, we are sure to hit it. That is why if we look at Habakkuk 2:2-3, the writer says:

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”

In other words, write it down, and make that vision plain so that others can run with it. It is for an appointed time but it will happen, even though it doesn’t happen immediately.

I had the privilege a few days ago of going down to the harbour in Durban, South Africa. I was asked to pray over a new business venture involving shipping and transport. The vision was started by a family and I met the father and the two sons. Because these men have implemented the vision of God so clearly, it has grown into a mega business venture.

I spoke only to the leaders of the different groups and there must have been over fifty people there. These men and women really impressed me. They impressed me with their timekeeping. The meeting started immediately on time and finished on time. Their standard was amazing. We met in a huge warehouse but it was impeccably laid out for the event. I saw humility there, humble people that commanded a lot of respect in that harbour area. I saw humility and I saw unity. They had a vision and it was a common goal. Everybody knew what the vision was. Most of all, I saw the love and the peace of Jesus in that place.

Realise your vision. It brings glory to God.

Jesus bless you.
Goodbye.
