The Way

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 1st of December, 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“Look to Me and be saved,…” 
Isaiah 45:22

What a beautiful scripture! Then we go to John 14:6, where the Lord Jesus Christ says, 

 "I am the Way.” 

So simple - just look unto Jesus and He will show you the way. Not only will He show you the way but He will also show you the way to eternal life. That can begin within you today. There are so many people who are waiting for Heaven to come down, they are waiting for the second coming of Jesus, but you don’t have to wait. The Lord says, “Look to me and be saved.” We need to understand that Jesus Christ doesn’t live in outer space. No! He lives inside your heart, right there where you are today. 

I don’t know what your situation is as we start the last month of this year, 2022. Maybe you are very fearful. Maybe you don’t know what is going to happen next year. Maybe you are saying, “I have been searching for the Lord all my life and I still have not found Him.” Like the young man who says he is going overseas to find his bride, his wife that is going to be with him forever. He goes all over the countryside, all over the world in fact and what happens? He comes back home and marries the young girl that lives next door. 

The Lord is very, very close to you and me. All He says is, “Look to me and be saved.”

Now I am going to pray a simple prayer for you and I would like you to say this prayer after me. Maybe you have accepted Jesus as your Saviour but maybe today you need to make a recommitment on the first day of the last month of the year. Please pray this prayer after me:

Dear Lord Jesus,
Today I acknowledge that I can’t live this life without you.  
I ask you therefore to be the Lord of my life.  
I repent of all my sin and I acknowledge by faith that You will come in and sup with me and me with You, as Your word says so clearly in Revelation 3:20.  
Thank you for saving me today, for giving me new life as I continue to look to You and You alone. I love You very much.
