True Repentance

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 2nd of November 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“For there is no partiality with God”.
Romans 2:11

Jesus has got no favourites.

“When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
John 8:10

All He asks from us is true repentance. The woman caught in adultery deserved to die according to Jewish law. She was an adulterer, yet Jesus forgave her. Today, all we have to do is say sorry and mean it and God will use us. Isn’t that a wonderful thought today? God is looking for a change of lifestyle - that is what is needed. That woman turned from her sin and God forgave her. It has got nothing to do with being lucky or saying, “That person is fortunate. Why does he always get blessed by God but I don’t?” No, it's about making decisions.

Remember the rich young ruler? He was given an opportunity but he refused. Jesus was offering him new life but he chose to stay the way he was. Any man or any woman who puts up their hand today and says, “Lord, I will go,” the Lord will use. William Carey was just such a man. He was a very, very ordinary person. He was a cobbler by trade and one day a person was being ugly to him and said, “I believe you are just a shoemaker by trade.” He said, “No Sir, I am not a shoemaker, I can’t make shoes. I am a cobbler, I can only repair shoes.” Yet God used that man because he put his hand up. He went to India with his family and he became an incredible translator of the Bible. He translated the Bible from English into many local dialects. He even became the chief interpreter in government.

Go out and live your dream today - Jesus will use you.

God bless you and have a wonderful day,
Goodbye.
