Walk In Integrity

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 28th of December, 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord!
Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart!”
Psalm 119:1

People that walk in the ways of the Lord, walk in a blameless way. They are truly happy people, they walk in integrity, they walk in the light and they stay on the course. They don’t fall into potholes or grope around in the darkness, searching blindly or full of uncertainty but they are sure-footed. Remember the old saying, “The world stands aside for a man who knows where he is going.” We need to ask ourselves a question today. Do we know where we are going? A man who walks in integrity has got nothing to hide. That’s what true freedom is all about.

“Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36

One of the nicest scripture verses for me in the Bible is 1 John 1:9:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

You see, confession brings freedom. I want to say to somebody today, pay your debt! As long as you owe somebody something, they have got a hold of you. Stop that ungodly relationship today. That woman is not your wife, she is somebody else’s wife. That relationship with that man, young lady - he is the husband of some other poor woman. Start today to walk in the light, holding the Hand that will lead you all the way home.

Many years ago, in our children’s home, somebody stole our pick-up. The little children were devastated. They said, “What are we going to do dad?”, I said, “Let's pray” and we prayed but the pick-up never came back. A few years later a few of the children came to me and said, “Dad, that is not fair.” I said, “You need to pray for that man who stole our pick-up because every single day he wakes up before he goes out, he opens the door and looks to the left and to the right to make sure there is no one there who is coming to arrest him. When he drives that pick-up down the highway and he sees a traffic policeman on the side of the road, his heart starts to thump. He has got no peace in his heart. All he had to do was bring the pick-up back and ask for forgiveness. We would have forgiven him and he could have gone his way, but that man has got a chain around his neck.

I want to say to you today, “Blessed are the undefiled, those who walk in the way of the Lord.

Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,
Goodbye.
