Freedom

The rock singer Janis Joplin, who tragically died from a heroin overdose at the young age of twenty-seven, said:  "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."

What a very sad statement, but Jesus says:  "If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36)

Our worst enemy preventing us from true freedom is ourselves! The Apostle Paul recognised this and it set him totally free. In Galatians 2:20, he says: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
