Unquestioned Faith
Romans 4:21
Being fully convinced that what God had promised He was more than able to perform, that’s why Abraham was known as the 'Friend of God'. And that is why Abraham was so loved by God!
His unwavering faith in God impressed our Heavenly Father so much, that God would look down from heaven and say: “That farmer Abraham, loves and trusts Me so much that he is even prepared to offer up his only son Issac, who he had waited for to be born, one hundred years, and yet at My request, without hesitation was prepared to give him back to Me, surely he is a faithful son and My covenant with him and his descendants shall stand forever”.
You and I need to have a good, long, hard look at our lives and ask ourselves a simple question: "Are we walking by faith or by sight?" 2 Corinthians 5:7
Is Jesus everything to us or do our faith and obedience only go so far?
In Matthew 12:30, the Master says clearly - if you are not for Me you are against Me. There is no middle road, it is either all or nothing at all.
Let’s be like Abraham and give everything we have to God, knowing that what Jesus has promised He will fulfil.
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
