Planting in the Dust

In the Word of God, in Psalm 126:5-6 (NKJV) it says:

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

C.H. Spurgeon says that even when the going becomes extremely hard and tough, we need to keep on planting, sowing good seed, even if we are weeping. The tears moisturise the hard ground and the salt from the tears are good and fertilise the soil.

So even when our eyes are dim with silver tears, we must remember that the golden harvest is very near.  We have to sow in hardship and in disappointment, for the harvest will eventually come, if we do not lose heart.
