Prepare Yourselves
As we get ready to celebrate the Easter season, the time when Jesus Christ made the supreme sacrifice for your life and for my life, we need to prepare ourselves. In the Word of God in Mark 6:31-32 it says:
And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves.
We really need to set time aside and prepare our hearts for Easter. In my humble opinion, the most important date in the whole Christian calendar. There is nothing more important than Easter. I always remember a good old friend of mine, Michael Cassidy, saying that if there is no crucifixion, there can be no resurrection and that is indeed the case. If we cannot prepare ourselves for good Friday, there’s nothing to talk about on Easter Sunday.
No one can dance like I can on Easter Sunday, because the resurrection of Christ broke the neck of the devil once and for all.
However we really need to spend quality and quantity time preparing our hearts for this time and that comes through coming aside, by spending extra time in meditation and through thanksgiving for the tremendous price that Jesus Christ paid for our sins. It is also a time to be with family, a time to put the busyness of the world’s situation aside and concentrate on what Christ has done for us. So let us prepare our hearts for this wonderful season of Easter.
Jesus bless you
