Down Payment

In Ephesians 1:13-14 (NKJV) the word of God says:

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

In a world where there seems to be no guarantee of anything these days, we are desperately looking for some sort of assurance.

This is the beauty we have in belonging to Jesus, because He has promised to not leave us as orphans, but He has sent us a, 'down payment,' a guarantee that He is coming back again very soon, to take us to be with Him in paradise forever.

And that guarantee is His Holy Spirit, who has promised you and I that He will never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5).

Let us develop that relationship with Him, because He is a Friend who sticks closer than any Brother. (Proverbs 18 : 24).
