Change is Here to Stay
Like never before, we need to stand on God’s Holy Word because it is the only thing that does not change. The Lord tells us that heaven and earth will pass away, but His Word will never ever pass away. That is such good news in a time of so much uncertainty. Things are changing at such a rate, but if we look at Psalm 91:1-2:
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
And that is exactly what you and I need to do this week, we need to put our trust in the Lord. Don’t put your trust in anything else, you can’t put your trust in your finances because they are so uncertain.
We are seeing amazing changes in the weather. As I am writing you this letter, it is raining on the farm. Normally at this time of the year we are almost starting to feed bales of hay to our cattle, because the grass is dry and food is scarce. Yet this year, it has been raining for the last three days, non stop. We’ve seen no frost yet, the dams are overflowing and obviously we are very grateful for that. But there are other people who have lost their homes, not far from here, in the Durban area, and over four hundred lives have been lost. These climatic phenomenons have never been seen before. But we know for sure that the Lord never changes. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
So let us make a decision this week, to focus on eternal things and not on temporary things which change by the hour. That will give us peace and that will give us hope and that will give us strength to face the day.
Jesus bless you
