The Hereafter

Are you taking a lot of strain at the moment? Well I can tell you, you are not alone. People all over the globe are taking immense strain at the moment, whether it be the economic down turn because of the war in Ukraine and Russia, whether it is because of the blatant immorality that is taking place everywhere - the lack of honour and trust, whether it be the elements, the weather cycles changing, people are under extreme pressure. The Lord Jesus Christ reminded us of these things, in fact, he says in the book of Luke 21:28 (NKJV):

Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

What an incredible promise from God. We need to concentrate more on ‘home time,’ because it is sooner than we think. It is nothing for the Christian to be afraid of. It is something that we can really look forward to and it does in fact, keep us going. We’ve got to lift our heads up, because if we don’t, we cannot see where we are going.

It is very important for me when I am riding my horse on the farm, that he keeps his head lifted up, otherwise he will fall into a hole just ahead of him. We’ve got to look at the whole horizon when we walk in this life. Jesus tells us to lift our heads up, because our redemption, the redeeming love of Christ is very near. In fact, if you are a cloud watcher, like I am, you cannot see the clouds if your head is always down. So lift up your heads because He is coming in the clouds, it could be today. Be prepared, be ready and that will give you the strength to deal with all these tremendous tests that are coming our way at the moment.
