Treasure

In the gospel of Luke 12:34, Jesus says:

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Our Heavenly Father should be our main objective in this life.  Our treasure should be our relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I believe in order of priority as believers, our treasure should be as follows:

  1. God should be our most precious treasure

  2. Our spouse, our husband or our wife should be our next treasure

  3. Our children should be the next treasure in our lives

  4. Our grandchildren should be the next precious treasures of our lives and then after that:

  5. Our work, our ministry, and our service.

Last night I had the privilege of attending a musical concert at our local school in Greytown.  Two of my little grandsons were part of it.  They are very young boys, and they came up onto the platform with their guitars and played a duet together.  Well, I want to tell you, I was so proud. The buttons of my shirt nearly burst, my chest was so full of love for those grandsons of mine.  They are both outspoken Christians and they love Jesus with a passion.

I want to say to you today, get your priorities in order and do a check on your heart, and ask God the Holy Spirit to show you where your treasures really are and concentrate on them and Jesus will take care of the rest.

Jesus bless you
