Be Prepared

It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Marcus Lamb, the founder of Daystar Television Network, and our condolences are with his dear wife, Joni and family.  A scripture that comes to mind is found in Psalm 116:15 (NKJV)

“Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints.”    

 We really do need to realise that we are only here for a very short time, we are sojourners in a foreign land.  We are just travelling through.  We must be careful that we don’t put too much emphasis on our time here on earth. Our main purpose here is to tell people about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  For some of us, who knows, this might be the last Christmas we have on earth, but I can assure you, for me personally, the time when the trumpet calls couldn’t come quicker. Paul was of the same opinion, he said in Philippians 1:21 (NKJV)

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

So we need to be prepared for what the Lord has in store for us and we need to work hard, we need to do what we can and we need to look forward to home time.
