Trust in the Lord
Jill and I have had the privilege of sitting in the game reserve and studying God’s creation for the last couple of days and the Lord always speak to me (maybe because I am a farmer) through nature. The one thing I have noticed from the biggest of all the animals in the park, the elephant, right down to the smallest little vervet monkey is one thing, and that is that none of these animals are rushing around.
They are pacing themselves and we need to pace ourselves. If we look at the Book of Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) it says,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
I realise many of us are trying to make a plan. It is probably because of the pressure that we are suffering in the world through this Covid 19 corona virus. People are scurrying to and fro to try and cope instead of resting in the Lord.
Let us contemplate God’s wonderful creation. I don’t see any difference in the mood of these animals in their natural environment to what I saw a couple of years ago when I was here. Yet, when I turn on the television and I look at the panic stations that are taking place, especially in some of the major powers in the world, people don’t seem to know what to do. I would encourage you this week to get back to basics. To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to us. (Matthew 6:33, NKJV). Take time out to smell the roses, it is so critical for each and every one of us. Then we can start thinking correctly and start processing our lives in a Godly manner.
Remember our children and loved ones (our dependants) are watching everything that we are doing and if you become unsettled and fearful, they also will be exactly the same. Jesus says, “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John14:27, NKJV) . May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you as you put your absolute trust in Him, just like the animals in the wild do and God supplies their food and needs every day.
Jesus bless you
