Facing A New Beginning

How are we going to face the future… because everything has changed?
Now the lockdown is just about lifted and then we have to get back to work and we have got to walk by faith and not by sight.
You know, early this morning, reading the Word of God, in the Book of Numbers, we see that Numbers Chapter 26 and verse 51 says that there were 601,730 men counted by Aaron.
Moses told him to count them. These were fighting men that were going to go across the Jordan River, into the land of Milk and Honey but not one of those men, apart from Joshua and Caleb, were from the original generation that left Egypt?
Why? Because all the others perished in the desert because of the lack of faith and because they were complaining continually.
Two men, out of a complete nation that survived! Why?
Because they trusted God.
Numbers Chapter 14, verse 24.
”But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land from where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.”
We really need to walk by faith as we face a new beginning.
If we are going to be constantly complaining and doubting, we are not going to make it.

I remember as a young farmer before I met The Lord, I would plant my crop of maize into the dry ground and then I would work my hands literally to the bone, by digging up the furrows and making sure that the seed had been planted in the correct manner, with the correct spacing – until I became a Christian.
And then The Lord would say to me, “Plant the crop and then trust me by faith to germinate it and to grow it”, and you know it changed my whole outlook.
Now let’s have a Caleb spirit as we face the future and a brand new week, by faith and not by sight.
Remember what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 and verse 7.
We walk by faith and not by sight.
