Jesus Is Not Dead
One of my favourite scriptures in the Bible is found in the Book of Romans, Chapter 8 and verse 11. I am going to read it today out of the King James Version:
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you”.
Jesus is not dead. He is alive. The tomb is empty.
I have been to Israel many, many times and I have been to that tomb and I want to tell you, there is nothing in that tomb. It is empty. Why? Because the Lord is not there.
He is alive and He has been raised from the dead by the Lord.
Now, if we go to the tomb, the shrine of King David, which even today is revered in Israel, as the greatest king, it is full of dead man’s bones. His remains are in the coffin. It is a lovely place to go to. Everybody is allowed to go there, Muslim, Christian and Jew.
But I want to tell you – he has not been raised from the dead, but Jesus, your saviour, my Lord, is no longer in the grave. He is alive.
Now, if The Holy Spirit has raised Jesus from the dead, that same Holy Spirit will quicken your mortal body.
What does that mean? Well, the dictionary says that “quicken” means to restore life.
He will restore your life today.
“Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Colossians chapter 1 verse 27.
No matter what is happening in the world, remember, the Holy Spirit lives within you. He will heal you. He will strengthen you. He will uplift you. He will take away that depression, that anxiety and that fear because Jesus is living in you and today you need to grasp that and then you can go out and you can face the world.
It does not matter about the Coronavirus or any other virus.
If Christ is in you, you have the victory.
