But God

If we go to the Epistle of James, The Book of James, Chapter 1 and I am reading from verse 6:
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”
We are living in perilous times.
With this COVID 19 everything has been shaken.
Politics are uncertain.
The economic situation seems chaotic.
The labor situation seems volatile.
People are hungry. People are unemployed.
But this is not a time to be like the waves of the sea, tossed to and fro.
We really need to understand one thing.
He who hesitates is lost.
It is better to have even tried and failed than to have never tried at all.
Remember, when we were told, when we were young men and women – a faint heart never wins a fair maiden.
We cannot be undecided.
This is the time we have to put our faith and everything we have into action.
We need to stand on the promises of God.

Philippians Chapter 4 verse 13 says: “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.”
Remember the champion in the ring is not the one who packs the biggest punch. No! But the one who keeps getting up again.
God never promised you or me a rose garden but what He did promise us that He would never leave us nor forsake us.
Therefore, with God’s help, we will overcome and we will succeed.
Many years ago, as a young Christian, I read a book called, “Mover of Men and Mountains”, the life story of Robert Le Tourneau, a young boy who dropped out of school in Grade 8, but he fell in love with Jesus, and through his faith in God, he became the earth-moving giant of the world.
Eventually, he sold out to Caterpillar. This man invented a scraper that could move tons and tons of earth.
This man loved God and he never gave up. He was not like the waves of the sea.
Robert Le Tourneau used to give 90% of his income to God’s work and yet was a multi, multi-millionaire.
We can overcome if we are not hesitant.
I want to say to you today, put your trust in Jesus and He will see you through.
When somebody says to you, “it cannot happen”, you say, “But God…”
When somebody says to you, “This country is going one way”, you say, “But God…”
When someone says “You will never make it!” you say, “But God…” and you will succeed.
