He is Faithful

Judge not, that you be not judged...
Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
— Matthew 7:1 & 4

God is faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
“Faithful is He who has called you, who will also do it.”

Our faith is in the man, Jesus, not so much on what He did but rather on Him, Himself. Not the miracles, not the signs and the wonders but on Him who performed them.

We are counting on Jesus, on Jesus’ faithfulness, look at His past faithfulness in our own lives - He has never once let you or me down, has He?

When people gossip about someone, challenge them. You know often a person will come to me and say, “ You know, so and so, I can’t believe that he did that!” And I will say, “But he didn’t do that. I know him.”

And they will ask me, “Were you there?”
And I say, “No.”
And they will say, “ Well, then how do you know?”
And I say, “Because I know his character.”

If people come and gossip to me what I always say is: “Let’s go together to the person and speak to him.”
“No, no, no. I don’t want to get involved.”
Then I normally say, “Then keep quiet because you are a liar and the truth is not in you.”

You see, I always back the jockey, not the horse - I always back the man, not the vehicle. That is why it is so important in these terrible times of COVID-19 to know the Person of Jesus. You see, Jesus, the Bible tells us in Isaiah 42:3, that He is so gentle that He would not break a bent reed or extinguish a smouldering flax.

That is the Jesus I know, folks. That is the Jesus who has walked with me for 42 years, through hell and high water, so why would He let us down?

So, when people come to you and say, “How can you follow a God who allows these things to happen?” God didn’t allow these things to happen, we live in an imperfect world! But the man, Jesus says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah Chapter 33:3.

That woman with the issue of blood - she knew Jesus. She said, “If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I know I will be healed.” And she was.

Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can tell that mountain to move. Peter, when he was sinking in the lake, he cried out, “Lord, help me, save me!” And The Lord did!

What an incredible CV The Lord has!

You know, He has been with us and He will not let us down. Now today, go out and trust the man, the Man of God - Emanuel, God with us and you will have a very wonderful and peaceful day.
