The Little Children

Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.
— Matthew 19:13

Little children are very, very important to our Lord Jesus Christ. Just these last few days I have been so blessed by the little people. I have had the privilege of dedicating a little two-and-a-half-month-old baby girl and what a beauty she is! Her name is Indiana Rose and she is a miracle baby.

We had that virtual Mighty Men Global Conference if you remember and her mom and dad took the Word of God that day literally and God blessed them with a baby nine months later. I had the privilege of holding that little one in my hands. Children are such a blessing.

Now, I want to tell you about my two youngest grandchildren: a little boy, six years old and a little girl of three... They came to stay with us. They call me 'Kulu' which is Zulu for grandfather and they call my wife 'Gogo' which is Zulu for granny.

Well, they are an absolute blessing but you know I say this tongue in cheek! The King James Version says, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

They came to me early this morning and said: "Kulu, we found your reading glasses.” Needless to say, they must have stood on them because my reading glasses are very, very expanded and they don’t fit so well...

My little grandson likes to fiddle with things and I am an early riser, as you know, 4 o clock is my time. But I got up and I was about to go and make tea for Jill because the alarm clock had gone off and I looked at the clock and it was 02:30 in the morning. So we had a very early start.

By 3 o’clock, my little granddaughter (her first time sleeping away from home) and my little grandson were nicely cuddled up with Gogo, drinking hot chocolate and tea in the bed. Folks, I want to tell you they are such a blessing and I want to say to you today: take time out to speak to the little ones. They need love so much. Oh by the way, at 7 o’clock this morning, my suffering will be over because they will be returned to their parents.

Have a wonderful day!
