It is Saturday morning, the 24th of September 2022. I want to greet you in the precious name of Jesus Christ, this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

Well, today is a very, very important day for us in South Africa and it's a very important day in my own life.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” The New King James Version says: “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint.”
Proverbs 29:18

What does that mean? It means if you aim at nothing then you are sure to hit it. It means that if your vision doesn’t scare you, then it is not big enough. I am in a state of absolute fear at the moment, fear and trembling and excitement, all together. You know if you cannot do it humanly speaking, then you must know that you have to have the faith to do it. Now, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith you cannot please God, and he who believes must believe that He is and that He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. You see, Moses said to God, in Exodus:33:15, “If You do not go with us, we are not going.” That is what the scripture says, and here at Shalom we have a very famous saying that goes like this,

“You must attempt something so big that if it is not of God it is doomed to fail.”

Why? Because when it works, Jesus gets all the honour and the glory, because people will say, ”Well, they could never have done that in their own strength.” Even as I am sitting patiently in the tunnel as it were, waiting for the big game, waiting for the whistle to blow and to run onto that field, I know that my Redeemer lives, and I know that He is with me. I would ask you to pray for us today wherever you might be. Pray for us in South Africa, pray for us as we hold a national prayer meeting in Krugersdorp, just outside Johannesburg. The city has a name that it has been given, which is very sad. They call it “devils-dorp” and we are going there today to change that name into “Jesus-dorp.” The people are coming by faith, and by faith, God is going to heal the sick, deliver those who are oppressed by demons and increase faith for those who are in depression and have lost hope.

Today is going to be a milestone in the history of our beloved South Africa. Please pray for us as we go out and speak JESUS to a dying world.
