No Regrets
A very good morning to you - I greet you in Jesus’ precious name. It is Friday morning, 23rd of September 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.
“Then Paul answered, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 21:13
“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:21
You can’t frighten a Christian with Heaven. Oh folks, the safest place to be is right in the perfect will of God. Just like the Apostle Paul, we need to find out what the will is of God for our lives and then simply obey Jesus’ call. 1 Timothy 6:6 says godliness with contentment is great gain. Paul’s friends loved him so much and they knew what was going to happen to him. He was going to die for his faith in Jesus Christ, but I want to tell you Paul was single-minded. He knew exactly what he had to do.
No more regrets for us today. “Oh, if only I had done that”, or “if only I had been bolder”, “if only I had taken that step in faith.” I want to tell you it is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all.
Jeremiah said:
“There is a fire in my bones, I could not hold back, I had to preach.” Jeremiah 20:9.
As I am sitting in my prayer room today and tomorrow I am going to a national prayer meeting in Krugersdorp, just outside of Johannesburg. I am having a battle, right in my prayer room. The devil is saying to me, “You are going to make a fool of yourself because nothing is going to happen, no one is coming. The weather is going to be against you. People will not be healed, delivered or set free, the government will not change, and you will have egg on your face!”
But you know something my dear friend, I have to go, and I have to go unconditionally because, like Paul, for me, there is no Plan B. You know the good news, He will not fail me and He will not fail you, and I hope to see you there if it is possible. But in the meantime, follow through with the work and the vision Jesus has given you!
God bless you and goodbye.
