I greet you in Jesus’ precious name. It is Friday morning, the 4th of November, 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3

“Certainly not! (the Lord says) Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”
Romans 3:4

What God has said He will do, He will do. As I am recording this message to you, it is raining. If you listen carefully, the raindrops are falling on my tin roof. God’s promises are yea and amen. He never makes idol promises. He will not go back on His word. He cannot be untrue to Himself, it is not in His nature.

Do you know that old plumber, Smith Wigglesworth? His favourite quotation was, “God said it, I believe it and that settles it.” In the old days, when a man gave you his word with a handshake, over a business deal, it was as good as done. Unfortunately, not so these days. But with our Father in Heaven, when He promises something, we can bank on it. Excuse the pun, it's like a bank-guaranteed cheque. I looked the word “Guaranteed” up in the Oxford Dictionary, it means “a promise with certainty”. You can bank on it.

So I want to say to that young lady who is waiting for the husband of her dreams and he is not coming, wait. Tarry, the Lord says, tarry because it will come to pass. I want to say to that young man who is waiting for a job opportunity. Just be patient, it will come. The Lord has promised you and He will do it. The same thing applies to that healing that you are trusting God for, or maybe a little baby that you have not been able to receive yet. Tarry, wait. If God has said it, He will do it because He does not tell lies. I want to say to you today that the Lord is the only person that we can truly trust with everything we have.

So, have a wonderful day, knowing that the Lord, if He is for you, no man will ever stand against you.

Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.
Goodbye.
