Joy Comes In The Morning

I greet you in Jesus' precious name. It is Wednesday morning, the 14th of December, 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:5

Then in John 20:15, Jesus said

“Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

"Woman, why are you weeping?". The Lord is saying to you this morning, "Lady, why are you weeping?" "Young man, why are you weeping?"

You see, Mary Magdalene was the woman that Jesus cast out seven demons. She was a woman of ill repute. She did not have a very good reputation. She didn’t have any friends. She was not regarded by anybody until Jesus Christ came into her life and changed her completely. She must have been having a very sleepless night when the Lord had been put in that tomb, the man who had restored her, the man that had believed in her and given her new life was dead. She loved Him so much. He was everything to her. Yes, she was the first one to go down to the tomb, early in the morning, to go and minister to His body, but when she got there the tomb was empty and the stone had been rolled away. She was so very distraught and sad. She saw a man standing in the garden in the early morning shadows, thinking that He was the gardener, and she asked Him what had been done to the Lord's body. Then she heard that beautiful, rich voice say her name, "Mary!" and she knew it was Jesus.

The night of weeping ceased and with much joy, the morning in her life broke forth forever. I want to say to you my dear friend that I believe if you get to Heaven before me, and you look for the most beautiful woman, I believe it will be Mary Magdalene because Jesus has got a habit of taking broken distraught people, people who are weeping, who have lost hope, and making them into new creatures and brand new people. The night of weeping will pass and Jesus will give us new life.

Today, just remember He is with us. He will never leave us and He will never forsake us.

God bless you and have a wonderful day.
Goodbye
