Lift Jesus Up

I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 5th of October 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

"And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 12:32

C.H. Spurgeon, the great English preacher, refers to Jesus as a Mighty Magnet! Indeed, He is the greatest drawcard that has ever lived! No one has ever been as famous or as well-known on the face of the earth, as Jesus Christ. Everybody knows that name. He is worshipped, He is revered, but unfortunately, He is also cursed and even used as a swear word sadly. 

When I first met Jesus, my life was transformed forever. We don’t have to market or advertise that name. If Jesus drew us to Himself, He will also draw all men. All we have to do is lift Him up and He will do the rest. Jesus is like an attractive force, isn’t that beautiful? When we meet Jesus, we have peace, love, understanding and forgiveness in our hearts. People are looking for it everywhere. Just lift Jesus up. They will find it.  

It is actually Christ in us that draws people to Him. Colossians 1:27 says Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is Jesus living through us! Andrew, the fisherman, ran to his brother and said, “We have found the Messiah!” (John 1:41) and that changed Simon Peter’s life forever.

 Today, go out and lift Him up and He will draw all men to Himself.
