Angels

It is Friday morning, 17th June 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” 

Psalm 34:7

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

Daniel 6:22

Do you believe in angels? I most definitely do. If you don’t believe in angels then clearly you don’t believe in the authority and the genuineness of God’s Holy Word. Daniel believed in angels. Those lions were not tame. They would have been starved and ravenous because Daniel’s false accusers were thrown into that same den after Daniel was taken out. They were instantly torn apart and killed. Remember one important point - We do not call upon angels when we need help, we call upon Jesus and He sends His angels to help us.

Around 2006 we had a Mighty Men Conference on the farm. We were so excited and expecting approximately 5000 men to come and hear the Gospel. Do you know what happened? 7,500 men arrived! To that ladies listening to this message, how would you like it if your husband brought home 2,500 men for you to feed for the whole weekend? Men have got a habit of doing that, don’t they? They don’t tell you who is coming home, they just bring them. The cooks said to me, “Please tell the guys to go easy on the food.” I was so excited at seeing so many men I said, “There is a message from the kitchen. Eat as much as you can!” I know Jesus sent angels into that kitchen because we fed them for a whole weekend and there were thirty-six baskets of left overs after the weekend.

Call upon the Lord, He will send His angels to protect you.
